Adopt A Greyhound

Every greyhound needs a home, but not every home needs a greyhound. We do not adopt our greyhounds as first come first served; but rather, we make an educated and conscientious attempt in matching the right dog with the right home.

In an effort to match each greyhound with his or her best possible home, Arizona Greyhound Rescue has a multi-step adoption process that allows our volunteers to get to know potential adopters, and to provide the information and support necessary to ensure a successful placement. Patrick was a stray that was found in a Petsmart parking lot in Tucson. We think he was abandoned there and appeared to be with a German Shepard puppy, that went to another rescue. We determined that, at the end of his racing career in 2012, he was not placed with an adoption group but transferred to a trainer associated with Tucson Greyhound Park. We have no idea where he has spent the intervening years. He has been well cared for... his weight is appropriate, his nails are trimmed, his coat is healthy, and he is parasite free. He is a happy go lucky guy and has no signs of mistreatment at all. He is ready to find a new home where he is loved!
