Adopt A Greyhound

Every greyhound needs a home, but not every home needs a greyhound. We do not adopt our greyhounds as first come first served; but rather, we make an educated and conscientious attempt in matching the right dog with the right home.

In an effort to match each greyhound with his or her best possible home, Arizona Greyhound Rescue has a multi-step adoption process that allows our volunteers to get to know potential adopters, and to provide the information and support necessary to ensure a successful placement. Kermit (now Diesel)

Born: 2015
Race name: NA
Color: Tuxedo Whippet Mix
Gender: Male
Housing: Kennel
Cats: TBD
Small Dogs: TBD
Weight: 25lbs
Status: ADOPTED!
Kermit is a Whippet mix. He was rescued from Pima Animal Control where he had been removed from an animal hoarding situation. He is also under-socialized with people, so he will require patience. He would love to be in a home with another dog. Kermit is so precious. He loves to be touched and has the cutest eyes. He is being treated for valley fever and will require medication for at least 6 months, so he will be adopted as a special needs dog. If you would like to donate toward Kermit's care before he is adopted, we would be very appreciative. We are still stretched financially from the end of live racing at Tucson track, but we wanted to reach out and give Kermit a chance to find a home through AGR. Please use the "Donate" button above. And please be aware that any extra money left over from Kermit's care will go to helping our other hounds.
