Ethel is a curious hound, loving every bit of her new enviroment. She loves to sniff and explore, which makes it hard to walk in a straight line! Ethel is learning what gophers and small dogs are, but it doesn't mean she likes them. She is quickly learning the ropes of her retirement but can benefit from a greyhound buddy to show her that gophers and small dogs aren't so bad - just something to avoid on walks.

Lucy is both beautiful and sweet. Her ancestors might have posed for the Egyptian drawings as she's got those same classical looks - including the straight-up ears. She is very affectionate and a real people lover. She does want to jump up and is convinced that no lap should be without a dog, but it wouldn't take long to train her out of that. She's really easy on the lead and she doesn't seem to be overly interested in small furries. In fact, she backed away from a pair of smallish terriers on leads. Lucy would love a chance to become someone's snuggle buddy.

Nyx never raced like her greyhound buddies, but she has retired from her former life as a blood donor. She lived in a loving home after her retirement, but a sudden change in their finances forced the difficult decision to find Nyx a new home. Nyx has a gentle demeanor and greets each person or dog as a friend. Though she follows well on walks, her curiosity will leave her leash in tangles because she wants to explore everything. One look into her captivating eyes and you too will fall in love!

Solstice is learning to accept attention from people and she seems to enjoy the free petting! She sometimes will shy away if she is in a new environment, so with time and lots of love - Solstice's inner sunshine will beem through.
