FOSTER UPDATE: Fostering Heather is a breeze. A former brood Mom, she is a sweet healthy girl with a gentle disposition. Heather is fully house trained, uses the doggie door, and has excellent house manners. She is not crated. She is an early riser and nudges my cheek with her cold wet nose to wake me up and take her for a walk. She gets along well with my two greys and American Eskimo, and with other dogs that we meet on our walks. Heather is a little under weight but has a good appetite so she will quickly gain a few pounds.  She is very alert to bunnies scampering across the path on our walks, and her ears shoot up and morph into antennas as she tracks that furry critter through the brush. I have left Heather alone for a couple of hours with only the American Eskimo for company, without any problems. Heather has yet to experience an encounter with kids or cats!
