Annie

Annie

Born: Jun/2007
Color: Dark Brindle
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: No
Small Dogs: Yes
Status: ADOPTED!

Physical contact is a must for me. I’m Annie – a small dark brindle female – that thrives on affection. I put my paws on the cage of my ‘condo’ to touch my visitors, and try to lick their hands, but it’s difficult to make contact. I’ve fathomed out how to place my neck against the bars so someone can scratch my neck. I’m so tired of living in a cage. Please set me free. I want to run in the back yard, or at the doggie park with other dogs, and live with a family that will wrap their arms around my neck and smother my face with kisses. I know my toes will curl with delight. I don’t know anything about living in a home as the family fur companion, but I’m smart and will quickly learn you’re routine. If you’re looking for a gentle love bug, I’m your gal.

Reyne FKA Dixie

Reyne FKA Dixie

Born: Jul/2003
Color: White/Brindle
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

Reyne is a white, medium-size female with brindle patches that’s easy on the eye and easy to live with. Reyne is currently in foster care and available for adoption only because of a change in her owner’s circumstances. She is utterly gentle and a great love bug: very affectionate, house trained, and well behaved in the home. She does not try to get up on furniture or beds and is not destructive when left alone for a while so crating is unnecessary. She responds to a gentle “Hey” if any correction is needed, which is rare. Reyne barks very little, walks well on the leash and doesn’t get frazzled by the vacuum – she just walks away. Reyne has no experience with tiny dogs and/or cats. She will seek affection from her human buddy and loves tummy rubs. She has been living in an upstairs apartment and is comfortable with stairs.

Baby

Baby

Born: May/2008
Color: Dark Brindle
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: Yes
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: From cowering and hiding at the kennel, in foster care, Baby is beginning to blossom. While still a little shy and nervous around people, she will come to you when she’s comfortable and feels that she can trust you. She is well behaved in the home, doesn’t bark, is house trained, loves to ride in the car and is excellent on the leash. Baby likes to be around people and kids, and enjoys the companionship of other animals. She gets along famously with her 9 lb. canine buddy roommate and two cats. Baby would do best in a home with another dog, not necessarily a greyhound, that is confident to help her overcome her shyness. Baby has no qualms at being crated at night – she loves her own private ‘condo.’ She is healthy with no food issues and doesn’t get upset when her foster Moms leave the home.

Dilly

Dilly

Born: Mar/2007
Color: Black
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: No
Small Dogs: No
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: Dilly is living with other large dogs and relishing home living. At first, a little shy of strangers, Dilly warms up quickly and becomes very affectionate. Loud noises may startle her, but she is used to the vacuum. She is a good traveler, barks rarely and has learned the doggie door. She accepts crating up to 4 hours a day. Dilly is in good health with no food issues. She enjoys her morning romp but shows prey behavior toward small dogs, so she's probably not cat or small dog tolerant. Dilly accepts grooming and has learned the commands 'leave it' and 'no.' Possessing a roman nose, rare for a greyhound, and expressive eyes, she is a canine Sophia Loren. This is one smart and affectionate hound. She would do best in a home with another dog for company.

Alyssa

Alyssa

Color: White/Black
Gender: Female
Housing: Kennel
Cats: N/A
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

I communicate mainly through my tail. I’m Alyssa. When you talk, I wag. I’m not quite sure what you’re saying, but your tone of voice lets me know that you like me, and this I need. I’m a sweet, small black and white female that’s settled into my new surroundings at the Greyt Hacienda. Now don’t get me wrong. To get out of a cage is my main goal. I understand this is a half-way home until someone in the Tucson community falls in love with me. That shouldn’t be hard ‘cos I’m a fabulous pooch. I like people and I’m very affectionate. I would prefer to live in a home with another dog. Greyhounds are social animals – we’ve never been alone – we’ve always been around other dogs – in cages of course. So please set me free, take me home, and lavish me with love. My tail is wagging with anticipation.

Seco

Seco

Born: May/2007
Color: Brindle
Gender: Male
Housing: Foster
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: Yes
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: Seco is a loving dog who has rapidly learned the joy of play and the comfort of retirement. He’s on the larger side, but still wants to be a lap dog. He is more casual trotter than quick sprinter, and loves going for leisurely walks. He does great with car rides, but is timid about hopping into the back of high SUVs. He is being fostered by 3 male greyhounds, 2 small female mixed breeds, and a 6 year old girl; and, he gets along harmoniously with all of them. Seco has no medical issues, has a healthy non-aggressive appetite, is housebroken, rarely barks, and is not crated. He does not chew when provided with rawhide and his own chew toys, but he has been caught sneaking off with socks. Seco gives great cold wet nose nuzzles and will snuggle next to you if allowed.

Mickey

Mickey

Born: Sep/2004
Color: Brindle
Gender: Male
Housing: Foster
Cats: No
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: Shy is not in Mickey’s vocabulary.  He is one smart greyhound that gets along well with people and his two greyhound foster brothers. As he tested ‘not cat tolerant,’ a home with kitties is not advisable. Mickey is house trained; rides well in the car and loves his daily walks. He does not pull on the leash but tends to zigzag, exploring new territory. When left alone occasionally without his two doggie companions, he did not become agitated, so he is not being crated. Mickey is in good health, does not steal food, and is not spooked by unusual noises, other than the vacuum cleaner!  Mickey accepts grooming, knows the command ‘settle’ and also knows his name. He will come when called, if he feels like it!  Mickey is a sloppy eater and drinker so a towel under his bowls might be a good idea.

Tater

Tater

Born: Jan/2008
Color: Black
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: No
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: This little black beauty will be a happy presence in an active home with other dogs and people. She is curious, learns quickly and is affectionate. She already knows how to use a doggie door. She taught herself from watching other dogs a couple of times. She needs training to be taught to come and to help her overcome a couple of habits of exuberance and curiosity such as chewing up paper and jumping up on people and counters to check things out. She understands “No,” and corrects willingly. She is lots of fun to have around. She is a bit of an alpha female in that she expects to come first and gets jealous and will push through other dogs for attention. She is assertive but not aggressive and has a healthy self-esteem. She is also cat and small dog tolerant. She is an absolute joy to have around.

Bandit

Bandit

Born: Mar/2004
Color: Black
Gender: Male
Housing: Foster
Cats: No
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: Bandit is a real charmer and adapting well to home living. He is a gentle, happy, playful dog that loves his squeaky toys and will play fetch. He is fascinated with his reflection in the mirrors and likes to put his head on his foster mom’s shoulder. He plays well with the other greyhound in the home, loves his walks, does not pull on the leash and rides well in the car. Bandit has a prey drive and chases rabbits and birds, and when the neighbor’s dog had the cheek to come into Bandit’s yard, he chased the dog out PDQ. Bandit knows his name and will usually come when called. Bandit loves everyone including kids. Loud noises startle him a little but he’s figured out that the T.V. is not ‘out to get him,’ and enjoys watching Animal Planet!

Cindy

Cindy

Born: May/2007
Color: Brindle
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: Yes
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: Cindi is a very affectionate pooch that gives kisses and loves being massaged and petted. She’s outgoing, loves people and the big dogs she meets on her daily walks. Cindi walks well on the leash without pulling, but those scurrying bunnies were initially hard to resist. After the command ‘no’ was consistently repeated, bunnies are now eye candy and not something to be chased. She is learning to play with a Kong, occasionally romps with her doggie roommate, and barks very little. Tossing the laundry is preferred over toys. Cindi can be left alone for a couple of hours without any problem, and goes into her crate during the day of her own volition. She is in good health, eats well, and is house broken. Cindi enjoys shredding paper, so her foster Mom is doggie proofing to protect her books.

Siesta

Siesta

Born: Jul/2007
Color: Grey/Fawn
Gender: Male
Housing: Foster
Cats: N/A
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!
My biography is coming soon!
Classy

Classy

Born: Sep/2006
Color: White/Black
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: No
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: Classy is enjoying time with a family that is kind to her. She was underweight and, at first, terribly shy but gradually she is gaining a little weight, learning to trust people and soak up affection. Sometimes Classy gets a little ‘pushy’ with Cherry, her Alpha greyhound roommate, but Cherry promptly puts Classy in her place.  Classy lives with a couple of parrots and, while curious about these feathered residents, she has not tried to pursue them. Mischief gleams in her eyes as she plays with toys. Classy barks very little, and is not disturbed by loud or unusual noises. She is house trained using a doggie door and is not destructive in the home, so she is not crated. Classy is learning her name and the commands ‘come’ and ‘no.’ She is learning to walk on a leash and acclimating quickly to rides in the car.

Tusk

Tusk

Born: Apr/2008
Color: Brindle
Gender: Male
Housing: Foster
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

My name is Tusk. A powerful name but I'm really a push over. At 2-l/2 years of age, I'm energetic and playful and I tolerate cats. Not sure how to play with a cat, but I don't mind snuggling on my doggie bed with kitty as long as kitty 'gets it' that most of the bed space is mine. My left ear occasionally bends to the right. No, I'm not hitchhiking for a lift in a car to reach some far away destination. It's another way for me to keep track of what's happening outside my visual capabilities. I'm in good physical shape, easy to handle and possess a sweet disposition. The holidays are nearly here. What better gift for a family than a retired racing greyhound.

Tyme

Tyme

Born: Oct/2007
Color: Black
Gender: Male
Housing: Kennel
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: Yes
Status: ADOPTED!

Do I walk well on a leash? Depends on how you define ‘well.’ As we strut our stuff, I like to weave back and forth, and dance a little, but my haunches don’t wander far from your legs, ‘cos I like human contact. My name is Tyme. I’m a black male, and one happy affectionate boy that loves to be cuddled and told I’m gorgeous. I’m rather tall, but not too tall for a three-seater couch, or a sumptuous doggie bed. The volunteer this morning told me I was a clean boy because I had not sullied my rugs. I’m not a slob, I told her, and would never do such a thing. I would like to be adopted by a family that views me as the youngest kid and includes me in all the daily fun. With ‘tyme’ on your side, all will be well in your world.

Daq

Daq

Born: Jan/2006
Color: Fawn
Gender: Male
Housing: Foster
Cats: No
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: Daq's loving and joyous personality is infectious. He makes us laugh every day with his goofy antics and outstanding good nature. He's got no interest in being the alpha dog; rather, he's a good-time guy and wants to get along with everyone. Almost two years old, he's an active playful dog and would do well in a home with other dogs or sturdy older kids to play with. He's so carefree and rugged that words alone don't always register on his radar but a firm gentle touch works wonders for discipline, since he's so eager to please and will gladly go into a crate, if need be. DAQ is potty trained using a doggie door. He's charmed us and our other greyhounds. We'll miss him dearly when he's adopted, but he's ready for that forever home!

Spunky

Spunky

Born: Oct/2006
Color: Red Fawn
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: No
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: Spunky has definite ideas of what her life should be in a permanent home. She only answers to Gina and needs freedom to roam throughout the house. She rebels at being crated because, after all, she’s a lady, housetrained using a doggie door and well behaved in the home, so crating is unnecessary. Since being in foster care, Gina has blossomed and is now very outgoing – she loves everyone and gives kisses. Gina is not a barker, travels well in the car, and you can vacuum around her without disturbing her equilibrium. Gina does not like being alone. She lives with another grey and they are best buds, sleeping butt to butt. Sometimes she hides her foster mom’s clothing in the back yard. Gina needs a home where there are other dogs for companionship. Gina responds to commands: ‘Sit,’ ‘Wait,’ ‘Stay,’ and ‘No.’

Rush

Rush

Born: Jul/2007
Color: Black
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: With Work
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

I'm a small, nimble black beauty called Rush. My two back feet are white and serve as brake lights when I need to change direction: like when I'm charging toward you and you think we're going to collide - no chance. Those brake lights are on the job. I'm comfortable being handled by gentle folks and love kisses and cuddles. The volunteer this morning told me that I had a beautiful face. WOW. Never heard this before, but I guess she meant it because she covered my face with kisses. I sure liked that. They tell me that I'm a 'maybe' with cats. Mm, so maybe if the cat respects my space, we're compatible? But if Kittie nibbles my munchies, not a good idea. I'm sure you won't let this happen because we greys need a private place at chow time, and Kittie will just have to adjust. Greys rule.

Greek

Greek

Born: Jul/2007
Color: Red
Gender: Male
Housing: Foster
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: Yes
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: Greek is a gentle hound that’s compatible with cats and small dogs. He lives in a quiet household with other dogs and wants to be one of the pack. Greek is very shy, especially around males. When scared, he freezes, but is not aggressive. He will thrive in a quiet home with other animals for companionship. Greek is not crated because he is not destructive. He is house trained using a doggie door. When left alone, he does fine, probably because he has doggie companions. Greek is not a barker and rides well in the car. He is learning to walk on the leash but gets spooked easily, so walks need to be around quiet areas until he feels more secure. Greek tolerates grooming and is learning to respond to his name. Once he overcomes his shyness, this dog will make a fabulous fur companion for a family.

Dream

Dream

Born: Aug/2007
Color: Brindle
Gender: Male
Housing: Foster
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: Although still a little shy, Dream is a sweet energetic boy, coming out of his shell and enjoying the benefits of home living. He’s smart and has learned to navigate stairs, loves his doggie door, rides in the car, and relishes romps at the doggie park with other dogs. He’s still a little skittish around people but, once showered with attention, he warms up quickly. He is a little competitive for attention with his doggie roommate so being an only fur kid might be good for this fabulous boy.  Dream lives with two cats and has interacted with small dogs without any problems. Dream is alone 8 hours a day with his fur buddies and has not been destructive. He is occasionally crated for a short time and this does not bother him. No health or food issues are apparent. Dream is ready for his forever home.

Binky

Binky

Born: Feb/2008
Color: Brindle
Gender: Male
Housing: Foster
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

Where are my doggie toys? I'm Binky and I turn two in February. Just like human toddlers, a toy or a blanket is an absolute must for us youngsters. This afternoon, the volunteer lady tossed me a couple of blanky toys and I was one happy camper tossing, chasing and chomping as I sped down the sprint run. I'm a playful pooch with a sweet disposition and cat tolerant. I'm easy to handle and love physical attention, especially kisses to my face and strokes under my chin. I'm in great physical shape and eagerly await that special person that will take me home. A sturdy doggie bed, loads of toys, premium chow, regular exercise and I'm yours. Once you and I get acquainted, you'll not be able to resist me.

Hallie

Hallie

Born: Jul/2007
Color: Brindle
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: No
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

My Oh My. What an upgrade. My own doggie flap, clean rugs, great kibble and lots of hugs and kisses from AGR volunteers. My name is Hallie. I'm a small fawn brindle gal that's a little shy because I'm new to the Greyt Hacienda, but I'm getting into the swing. I'm a cute, affectionate pooch that responds well to kind, gentle people. I'm easy to handle, get along with other dogs, and I'm smart, so training me to fit into your home will be a breeze. Cats, however, are not on my wish list as a companion. They smell different to us greys and when they bounce and scamper around, they remind me of this 'thing' I used to chase when I was racing. But if you don't have kitties and perhaps another dog to romp with, I will blend right in and you will be my rescue angel.

Windi

Windi

Born: May/2008
Color: White
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: While still in the puppy stage, Windi is smart and obeys the command ‘leave it.’  She is crated a couple of hours a day during the foster parents’ absence. Windi is outgoing and affectionate to everyone she meets and is not bothered by loud or unexpected noises. She will bark if she hears someone at the door or in the yard, or if a coyote is present. Windi is house trained without benefit of a doggie door. She is healthy and has a good appetite, without any food-related issues. Windi walks nicely on the leash, enjoys car rides, and is accepting of grooming and handling. She knows her name and will come when called. Windi loves her toys, appears to like small dogs, and doesn’t bother her kitty roommate. She is a very loving dog that will put her paw in her human’s hand for a massage.

Roxy

Roxy

Color: Greyhound Cross (Great Dane or Boxer)
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: No
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

Roxy is an energetic, playful, affectionate two-year old tail wagger. She is in foster with two other dogs and two children: a son and a daughter and does well with the kids, especially the son whom she follows around constantly. She has no experience with toddlers and limited experience with cats, but did not lunge for the cat when their noses met. Roxy is not destructive in the home and, therefore, is not crated. She is learning to walk nicely on the leash, is not scared of thunder and rides well in the car. Roxy is housetrained without the availability of a doggie door. Roxy does not do well with food that contains corn meal and peanut butter. Continuing gentle training is necessary to groom Roxy: clean the ears, clip the nails, clean the teeth, and teach her basic commands. Roxy knows her name and comes when called.

Jojo

Jojo

Born: Jan/2008
Color: Red
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

I'm a small fawn female with gorgeous brown eyes called JoJo. I passed cat testing so I'm classified as cat tolerant. Just as long as Kitty doesn't eat out of my food bowl, we'll get along just fine. I have a sweet disposition, like people, and love to play. I know that I would love to explore the Arizona desert and washes on daily walks as long as the snakes are snoozing and can't hurt me. As another new arrival to the Greyt Hacienda straight from the track, I've discovered Kongs. Oh boy. I just love to nose those things all around my condo until I dig out all the biscuits. It's become quite an obsession with me, so when you take me home, please have a stuffed Kong waiting for me. Then I'll know that you want me to stay with you for life.

Amado

Amado

Born: Mar/2007
Color: Brindle
Gender: Male
Housing: Foster
Cats: No
Small Dogs: No
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: Amado is a fun-loving dog that is happy and content. He views himself as an alpha-male so he could be comfortable as the only fur kid in the home as long as his adopter is home most of the time, or with another dog for company when his people are absent from the home. Amado loves people and approaches them to get petted. He wants to be where his people are and he's very curious about new places, sounds and smells. Thunderstorms or unusual loud noises do not faze him, he rides well in the car, and is house broken using a doggie door. He loves his daily walks and responds to the commands 'wait' and 'leave it.' Amado is a direct communicator: he makes his needs known through barking.

Alphie

Alphie

Born: Nov/2005
Color: Fawn
Gender: Male
Housing: Foster
Cats: No
Small Dogs: No
Status: ADOPTED!

Hello Tucson. I'm Alphie. I'm one handsome large fawn greyhound with a fabulous black tail that comes in handy as a rudder when I'm zooming around a doggie park and need to slide into 'stop' mode. While not one to boast, I have to admit that I'm one smart greyhound. This morning I was placed in the meet and greet to run. Yea, that was fun, but it was more fun to open the pen gate and trot back into the kennel, unaccompanied! You should have seen the faces of the volunteers. Talk about a jaw dropper. What a hoot. Yea, I was chastised, but hey, it's their job to anticipate how smart I am, don't you think? I would prefer to live in a home with other dogs for company, but no cats. I just 'don't get' those fur balls that consider themselves superior to us greys.

Emily

Emily

Born: Apr/2004
Color: Red Brindle
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: No
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: Emily is a low maintenance hound that just enjoys being with her people. She's house broken, and is content to sit 'sphinx' style in the back yard while her foster mom tends her garden or cleans the pool. Emily walks well on the leash and likes to be the leader. She is curious about people and other animals across the street but generally ignores them. She does notice cats and, but as she doesn't live with a cat, we don't know how she would react to having a kitty as a roommate. Emily takes a little time to warm up to new people but, once she's comfortable in a new environment, she will follow her people around the home as she does with her foster mom. Emily likes to sleep in the master bedroom close to her people. She is presently living with another dog and does fine when the foster mom is absent from the home 6 hours a day, three times a week. Her foster mom reports 'she's just one of those nice greyhounds that will make a joyful addition to the home.'

Spot/Turbo

Spot/Turbo

Born: Nov/2005
Color: White/Brindle
Gender: Male
Housing: Foster
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

Phew, my life is a whirlwind. I'm Turbo. I was just starting to get acquainted with my greyhound neighbors at the kennel, when this woman breezed in, threw a Martindale leash on me, told me I was going into foster, and whisked me into a vehicle. I enjoyed the ride and when we stopped, I was introduced to Beamer - the resident Alpha greyhound - and three smaller critters; two of which have legs shorter than my ears. My new digs has loads of soft doggie beds but I spotted a huge doggie bed that was perfect for my large frame and up I jumped. Then I heard, "Off." Did she mean me? Surely not. "Off, that's my bed." Yep, I guess she meant me, so off I got. Stay tuned for my adventures in foster land.

Gloria

Gloria

Born: Aug/2007
Color: Black
Gender: Male
Housing: Kennel
Cats: No
Small Dogs: With Work
Status: ADOPTED!

I'm a pistol named Gloria. I love to run and play and squeaky toys are my new found passion. I'm not a large dog but an impish cutie pie, so I will fit nicely on your couch when we watch football together on the weekends. Now that I'm retired, I'm dreaming of a sumptuous doggie bed, good munchies and people that will love and take good care of me. I know I will enjoy being groomed so that my shiny black coat remains in tip top shape. A trip to the doggie park would be fun and a chance to show you how fast I can run. I know I'll beat the pants off the other dogs when they think they can outrun a greyhound. Fat chance!

Star12/09

Star12/09

Born: Aug/2006
Color: Red Fawn
Gender: Male
Housing: Kennel
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

I'm one happy outgoing tail wagger that loves to play with other dogs. They call me Star. I'm very affectionate and enjoy being around people, so petting me is a must to keep my tail wagging. I'm also cat tolerant so kitty and I will make a good twosome. We might even do a little soft shoe shuffle close to dinner time so you will give us extra treats. I'm in great physical shape, weigh 81 lbs. and have a hearty appetite for premium chow. I love to snooze on my back with my legs splayed - we greyhounds call that roaching - it means we are contented and relaxed. So if you're looking for a well adjusted roaching greyhound, I'm your boy.

My name is Sketch. I enjoy walks, riding in the car and smiling. I smile a lot because I am an exuberant and happy hound! I am house trained and know how to use a doggie door. I do best with company, so ditto to what my buddy Donnie said!

Hi. My name is Donnie and I enjoy walks, hanging out with my human friends and being coddled. I'm also house trained. And I will tell you that Sketch is my buddy and we would love to be adopted together! You have room in your heart for two hounds, right?

Mazzie

Mazzie

Born: May/2005
Color: Fawn
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

My name is Mazzie. I am a young, gorgeous red female. I'm just waiting for some loving soul to take me home and turn me into a princess and spoil me to bits. I'm young and lively and very affectionate, but I need training on how to behave in a home. I have learned about soft toys and can entertain myself by tossing and chasing these puppies until the Arizona sun slides into night. I am so darned cute, that I don't think you can resist me.

Bebe

Bebe

Born: Nov/2002
Color: Fawn
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: No
Small Dogs: N/A
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: Bebe is a sweet, loving dog to everyone she meets. She loves to play and would do well in a home with respectful children. Bebe is oblivious to loud or unusual noises and, when left alone for a couple of hours, is well behaved in the home so she is not crated. Her foster Dad says that Bebe does not bark and is house trained and savvy with the doggie door. A ride in the car is one of her favorite things with walking a close second. She pulls a little on the leash and her prey drive makes her alert to small critters so she probably is not compatible with cats or tiny dogs. While Bebe doesn't always respond to her name, she will come when her foster Dad whistles or if she sees that he's calling her. Bebe has learned the commands: 'No,' 'Lay Down,' and 'Outside.'

Fiona

Fiona

Born: Jan/2003
Color: Yellow
Gender: Female
Housing: Foster
Cats: Yes
Small Dogs: Yes
Status: ADOPTED!

FOSTER UPDATE: Fiona is a fun-loving, affectionate girl that knows her name and obeys the command 'sit.' In the home, Fiona is docile, house broken, cat tolerant, not destructive, and can be left alone for a few hours without suffering separation anxiety. However, she is terrified of thunder and fireworks. Fiona only has sight in her right eye so she may feel insecure and this will explain why she pulls on the leash in unknown territory where there is heavy traffic and strange dogs, although she is slowly improving. Fiona needs her space when eating and will growl at other dogs if they come too close to her food bowl. For a potential adopter with a large yard where Fiona can play with squeaky toys and another dog for company may be sufficient exercise for this sweet girl and avoid any anxiety she has with the outside world.

I'm Lady. Not one of those pretentious creatures, but a lady brimming with vim and vigor. I'm a small pooch with pretty brown eyes. I like people and give kisses to those that treat me gently and with kindness. I'm longing for a good home where I will be well cared for and my fabulous coat will be brushed regularly to keep it shiny. I just can't wait to nuzzle into a plush doggie bed all my own. The holidays are close and I would like to be with a family to enjoy the holiday season.
