FOUND HOUNDS
Today was a day for found hounds(infinitely better than lost). Thanks to Sheri Cerniglia for stopping for a hound on her way to work. It seems a couple of folks caught her. Sheri took her home while sorting out who she was and where she came from. Barb Gadola made some phone calls and found that she was a direct adoption from a track kennel. Joe Cerniglia then connected dog with adopter. Thanks all for helping this girl in need.
THOSE AGR TAGS. We never stop emphasizing them. I got a call late this afternoon from a gentleman who had found one of our hounds on the east side. He gave me the dog's tag number. I checked the tag file I have and quickly contacted the adopter, who didn't know his dog had gotten out of the yard. His son had been doing work in the yard today and left the gate open. Please check when you have work done. Finder thanked and dog and adopter easily reunited.
GREYHOUND ADOPTION STORIES
We got this letter in:
Dear Greyhound Rescuer:
I am a fellow "grey" lover and adopter, and I am in the process of writing a greyhound care book enhanced with true stories of greyhound adoptions.
As I am seeking stories for submission, I ask that you please spread the word among your members. I would prefer that the stories of their pet adoptions be in narrative form--the subject is really open to anything revolving around the life and adoption of their pet or pets. Please let them know that they may submit their stories along with any pictures via my email at andrea.lynch@hotmail.com.
They will receive credit in my book for their submission as the author. In addition, I plan on donating a portion of the proceeds to the various adoption organizations which the authors belong to.
Finally, I plan on having a section of the book dedicated to the various rescue organizations throughout the countryif you would like me to include a blurb about your organization, then please feel free to submit that as well, along with current contact info.
Thank you so much! You or any authors may feel free to contact me at 314-952-1979.
Sincerely,
Andrea Lynch
Thanks for all you do!!!!!!
Mary
